The virus was created by the Umbrella Corporation. Jill Valentine, a former police officer, is trying to escape the city while being chased by a powerful creature called Nemesis, whose goal is to kill her. During her escape, she meets Carlos Oliveira, a soldier who slowly realizes Umbrella is responsible for the disaster and decides to help her. As the infection spreads, the government chooses to destroy Raccoon City to stop the virus. Jill defeats Nemesis and escapes with Carlos just before the city is destroyed. The story ends with Umbrella’s crimes beginning to be exposed. As the world is grasped by a mysterious infection that turns humans into zombies, Gerry, a former UN investigator has to leave his family to determine the source of the infection.
