India recorded its lowest covid caseload this week for the first time since February 2021. The dip comes amid the decline in worst-hit states. Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have witnessed a decline. In Kerala, the tally has gone down by 20.2%, and a 25% drop has been recorded in Maharashtra, as well. Consequently, timings for shops and restaurants in Maharashtra will be extended from October 22nd, with the current deadline being 10 pm. Announcement of the new timings is yet to be made.
