As announced on Sky Sports' Soccer AM, the players and clubs in the final shortlist for the Mitre Goal of the Year are: GOAL 1: Paddy McCourt -- Barnsley (v. Middlesbrough) GOAL 2: Jay Emmanuel-Thomas -- Bristol City (v. Bristol Rovers) GOAL 3: Franck Moussa -- Coventry City (v. Leyton Orient) GOAL 4: James Poole -- Hartlepool United (v. Notts County) GOAL 5: Troy Deeney -- Watford (v. Leicester City) The top five strikes have been selected following submissions from each of the 72 Football League clubs. The overall winner will be announced following an audience vote at the Football League Awards on Sunday 16th March -- the ceremony will be broadcast live of The Football League's YouTube channel from 8:30pm.
