Ingredients for the Hilsha fish curry with taro stolon (taro stems) are: Need Hilsha fish. Need two bags of taro stolon (taro stems). Open the two bags of taro stolen and put it in a separate bowl. Need one tablespoons of ginger and garlic pastes. Thinly slice 10 small onions. Add oil to a pan and once the oil heats up then add the onions. Cook the onions until it becomes soft. Once the onions become soft then add the ginger and garlic pastes. Add one teaspoon of salt and another half teaspoon of salt. Add one teaspoon of turmeric and coriander powder. Add a half teaspoon of paprika powder, two teaspoons of chilli powder and one teaspoon of cumin powder. Mix the ingredients and then add the Hilsha fish. Cook the curry over high heat. Add a half cup of water and then stir. Add the taro stolon and then over low heat mix the ingredients and then cover the pan. Once the taro gets a little soft then add eight green chillies. Continue cooking the curry over high heat until the taro gets soft and the oil comes to the top.
