Manipur university students cry foul over police presence on campus
Students of Manipur University have accused the police of terrorising them and driving them out of their hostels forcing them to go into hiding. The allegations come at a time when the police commandos are still to leave the varsity campus following Thursday night’s raid. Meanwhile, the sequence of events took a political turn today with senior Congress leader N Bijoy Singh condemning police action on campus.
