So why did we decide to make nutritional supplements part of the Vitalac range? It was really a logical extension of our approach to farming and our expertise in livestock care, building on our existing programmes for premix, minerals and supplements. Nutritional supplements allow us to take targeted action at critical development phases, whether that be in response to vitamin flush, liver health or other specific needs. Five years ago now, we invested in a new production facility which means that we have all the tools we need to manufacture liquid products on an industrial scale, in professional conditions with very high quality standards. So it was time to take this development to its logical conclusion, making liquid and solid, powdered nutritional products, for cows, pigs and poultry part of Vitalac's core business, where they’re a perfect fit with our technical, nutritional programmes. What’s more, thanks to our industrial capabilities we’re able to propose "Tailor Made Mix" products, made to clients’ precise specifications and backed up with advice and help with formulae and regulatory issues relating to the manufacture of nutritional products intended for animals.
