She was sworn in as Premier of Queensland on 14 February 2015 following the state election on 31 January 2015 and re-elected for a second term on 25 November 2017. Annastacia Palaszczuk is the first woman in Australia to become Premier from Opposition, and the only female leader to win two terms of Government.
