This was my first mountain launch after returning to hang glider training. The flight plan was simply to launch, head straight to the landing zone, do a box pattern over the landing zone until I reached pattern altitude, and then land. I'm flying a Wills Wing Alpha 235. There was a slight tailwind all morning, and we launched right in the middle of a lull period. There was a really nice rotor turbulence pocket about midway down the mountain, and that threw me around a bit.
