The 10th Inning of the Buckner Game

The 10th Inning of the Buckner Game

For those who don't have time to watch my elongated version of the whole game but still want to get immersed in that final fateful inning. This may be the most stunning turn of events in the history of sports. Defeat grasped from victory. The linchpin for one of the most tormented franchises in all of sports for many years. The Red Sox led the series 3 games to 2 in a best of 7. They led 5-3 in the bottom of the 10th with 2 outs and no one on base. They had already withstood one Mets late-inning comeback in the 8th and had re-asserted their dominance to make clear who was winning the series. They were one out away from the championship for four consecutive at-bats and one strike away during 2 of those. It's considered one of the great choke jobs in all of sports. For Mets fans it was like coming back from the dead I'm sure.
