Donald Trump narrowly avoided an assassin's bullet this past weekend, and both Republicans and Democrat are calling for unity. They're calling for healing in the wake of that event. But those words haven't swayed many people. So what is this political fallout all about and how does it finally stop? Do you have any ideas? I just, right after the guy's shot, you have these freaks on X, and they're millennials jumping up and down about how mad they were that he wasn't killed. You've got the statements coming out of the American public are just so repulsive. And I don't care who the guy is. They're sad that he wasn't killed. I mean, I don't even know how to get my arms around what's happening in this country right now. Yeah. Those are statements, you don't ever make that. That is absolutely unnecessary. It's uncalled for, and it's not okay to say that. We also, and I've done segments on this, the amount of anger now coming from the right, they're calling for war. They're calling for deaths and public hangings. So you've got these two factions right now. Like, oh man, too bad he didn't die. And this side saying, well. Who has all the guns? Now we're gonna come and get you. Who has all the guns? The right or the left? So it's. I'd say it's heavily right. You Well, it's honestly, it's terrifying. Of course it is. Of course it is. I'm looking over my shoulder a little bit more than usual now. And the overall thing here is that it doesn't matter where you sit politically. This is not okay. This is not the kind of thing, if you want to beat this guy, you beat him at the ballot box. You beat him with talking points, you beat him in debates. You do not ever, ever go this route. This is not okay. Well, Farron, again, sometimes people think I compliment you too much, but I don't think I can compliment you too much. I really do believe when something like this, I go to you and I say, what's your opinion on it? Because I think your takes are so precise. I honestly say it all again and again, I think you're the best progressive commentator in the business. And so, I'm interested, so after this happens, you start seeing this kind of batshit crazy conspiracy of all sorts. What are the conspiracies that you followed and that you're gonna be talking about the next few weeks? Yeah. The big one, of course was this was staged. This was staged by Trump and his people.
