MPs comment on Liberal-NDP confidence agreement – March 22, 2022

Speaking with reporters as they convene for the daily question period on Parliament Hill, Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau, Liberal MP Yasir Naqvi, NDP deputy leader Alexandre Boulerice, and NDP MPs Gord Johns and Jenny Kwan speak are asked about the supply-and-confidence agreement reached between their parties. Conservative MPs Dan Albas, Tracy Gray, and Jeremy Patzer also comment on the agreement and whether it will affect the Conservative Party's leadership race. Also reacting to the deal are Green Party interim leader Amita Kuttner, Green parliamentary leader Elizabeth May, and Green MP Mike Morrice. The deal would see the NDP support the Liberals on confidence votes in the House of Commons for the next three years until June 2025 in exchange for the government's advancement of certain NDP policies, including pharmacare and dental care.
