Kharkiv aftermath: Russian shelling destroys Ukraine's 2nd-largest city

Russian shelling pounded Ukraine's second-largest city again Tuesday, with footage showing a massive explosion outside a Soviet-era regional administration building in the city's central square. Videos posted on social media networks showed the explosion had shattered the buldings windows and destroyed much of the surroundings, but left it largely intact. Footage from locals also showed emergency service workers in the building, combing through wreckage. Ukraine's government has claimed the attack had deliberately targeted residental areas in an attempt to force Ukraine's embattled President into making concessions in peace talks. A first round of talks yielded no stop to the fighting, with a 40-mile convoy of Russian tanks and other vehicles threatening the capital, and a climbing casualty toll on the sixth day of the conflict.
