A wild scene unfolded on a Bronx subway train when a robbery suspect called 911 for help after being stabbed with the same knife sources say he attempted to use during the crime. Police sources say the incident happened around 7 p.m. at the Bronx Park East subway station aboard a northbound 2 train. Two 18‑year‑old men were riding the train when they were approached by a group of about eight people. One of the young men was robbed of his cellphone, and the situation quickly escalated into a violent brawl. Sources say a 17‑year‑old suspect slashed one victim in the face and arm with a knife, while the other victim was punched and had his phone taken. During the struggle, one of the victims was able to fight through his injuries, grab the knife, and stab the 17‑year‑old suspect. » Subscribe to News 12: https://bit.ly/4dyeWzd About News 12: News 12 is the exclusive 24-hour local news service dedicated to bringing you the best local news and information about your neighborhoods.
