NASCAR Thunder 2004 - Sawmill Setup (1:06.186)

With Pocono Infield done, we now head to my 2nd most favorite track in the game, only behind Tiburon. The 2 mile Sawmill Speedway in the forests of Mill Valley, California. My most favorite road course in the game. A very beautiful scenic track that's also very challenging with a monstrous amount of elevation changes, probably around several hundred feet worth. It's a shame this was the only EA NASCAR console game this track was ever featured in. A very challenging track to master as all turns are low-medium speed corners. Turn 1 tends to be the hardest turn on the entire track as it's quite easy to lock the brakes up & spin out there, but it's also quite easy to just overdrive literally every other turn and go off course. So if you can manage turn 1 then just stay on course the rest of the way, you should be good to go. This setup will help get you to the low 1:06s which is well over 2 seconds faster than the AI's and should even have the potential to reach the 1:05s with enough practice. My new PB lap of a 1:06.186 averages 108.78 MPH. Just 2 tracks left and we're all done and they're both infield tracks. Next up is Talladega Infield, hope to see you there.
