Interview with Mike DeQuattro explaining the process behind Protocols and Ports

This interview helps to shed light on the process behind the creation of an original composition of mine in collaboration with the Rhode Island College Wind Ensemble. The music was the result of a 5 week residency with the ensemble who I encouraged to use improvisation and react to external influences to make music remotely but together. I never addressed the title in the interview but it suggests the operation by which information is sent and received over the internet. It's impossible to paint an accurate picture of the process but I hope the interview will evoke a deeper appreciation of the final outcome that I titled "Protocols and Ports".
