Making of "The Sea Monster" - 2016

Here is the "making of" video", it's actually more of a slide show, but that allows you to pause the video and really look at the images in detail. This piece was a commission from a man who has a house on Cape Cod. He likes sea monsters, and he specifically wanted it to be a hand-cranked piece that hangs on the wall. This is unlike any of my recent work, as I usually make figurative pieces. The giant "fish" and the waves are all made from basswood, most everything else is pine.
