Hi, in tonight's mini guitar lesson I'm continuing our recent series looking at technical studies to play over our new John Mayer style Blues backing track. The first vid used arpeggios, the second pentatonic scales and tonight we advance to HEXATONIC scales! 🎸 As well as learning new scale shapes which is always useful for improving guitar technique, we'll also develop our knowledge of the CAGED system because of all these shapes stay in the same region of the fretboard between frets 4 and 8. You'll use E, A, G and C shaped hexatonic scales.
