It took an extraordinary effort to transform the White House for the holiday season this year. Over the course of one week, 150 volunteers worked tirelessly, using 25,000 feet of ribbon, 120 pounds of gingerbread, more than 10,000 butterflies, and even a 6,000-piece Lego portrait of President Donald Trump to decorate the historic halls of the People’s House. This year’s holiday theme, chosen by First Lady Melania Trump for her fifth Christmas season, is titled “Home Is Where the Heart Is.” According to her office, the concept reflects warmth, belonging, and personal reflection. After some of her past holiday designs sparked controversy, this year’s décor leans toward tradition, featuring classic twinkling lights, rich velvet bows, and familiar festive elements. Following a three-month pause caused by the demolition of the East Wing and the ongoing construction of President Trump’s new 90,000-square-foot ballroom, public White House tours are set to reopen on Tuesday. Visitors will experience a reimagined route through the building, as construction noise hummed in the background during a media preview tour earlier this week, accompanied by a military band playing holiday classics. In previous years, guests entered through the East Wing and walked along the East Colonnade, passing historic rooms such as the White House Library and the Vermeil Room. This year, however, with the East Wing completely razed, visitors will enter through the White House’s iconic front doors. #usa #trump #news ------------------------------ All videos on the channel are made and voiced by me.
