Bricks Tank Transmission - Adder / Subtractor 03

Update: first transmission is scrapped. The design itself was making it very difficult to get power to the wheels and power from the motors. It also caused issues with grounding due to the size of the gears on the differential, which were at the same depth as those of the drive wheels. Meaning they could snag on objects that the tank attempts to drive over. New transmission is axially in alignment with the vehicle. Power is easy for both the drive motor and steering motor. The freeing of space also allows for the doubling of chains for the tracks. Two rows of chains will give the vehicle more traction and support. Normal tracks failed as they are too wide. To make that work the tank will need to be at least two studs wider so that tracks don’t interfere with this transmission’s differentials. Video shows the power motor on the right: note that when driving forward both drive wheels move. Steering motor is on the left: note that when it is powered the drive wheels rotate in opposite directions. Other things to note: side cannon mounts, top deck plate extenders, frame work, fore and aft heat sinks/grav plates/whatever the heck they are. I don’t know but they are on the bricks mode so I added them. Camera: iPhone 7+ Finger Model: myself
