Lord Janner has been told he must appear in person to face a series of child sex abuse charges - despite having severe dementia. His lawyers had argued that he was 'unfit' to attend the court hearing, warning it would cause him 'catastrophic' distress. The former Labour peer has always denied the allegations of abuse.
