A Cultural Exchange is a main mission given by Sabal. It is unlocked after completing the first Balance of Power mission: Rebel Yell or Hunt or Be Hunted. This mission will unlock Sermon on the Mount. This is the first Bomb Defusing mission and could be considered as a tutorial for later Bomb Defusing quests. Ajay Ghale meets Sabal at a house northeast of Khilana Bazaar. The reaction Ajay will get depends on which Balance of Power mission was completed. If Sabal's side was chosen, he will congratulate and thank Ajay for his efforts. If Amita's side was chosen, he will be mad at Ajay's decision. Either way, Sabal will send Ajay to the Chal Jama Monastery to meet Raju and to learn about the Kyrati religion. Upon showing up, Raju will welcome him and send him to complete a few religious acts with items from the prayer basket. One of these includes spinning a mani wheel which will give some extra karma. Once the tasks have been completed, Ajay will be shown the death of a goat to keep the Kyrati demon Yalung sated. Ajay will now be able to leave but the mission is not over. STORY! The story was inspired by the ten-year-long Maoist insurgency in Nepal. The game follows Ajay Ghale, a young Kyrati-American who returns to his native country of Kyrat (a fictional Himalayan country derived from the Kirat ethnicities of Nepal and northern India) to spread his deceased mother's ashes.
