Roarin' 1920s: Kenn Sisson's Orch. - My Blue Heaven, 1927

„Kenn” Sisson and His Orchestra – My Blue Heaven, Fox Trot with Vocal Chorus (by Vaughn de Leath), Brunswick 1927 (USA) NOTE: This band seems to be almost completely forgotten today and only a handful of information about him was available in the Web. However, I found in Dailymotion’s channel run by Ksmp2020s (who is our friend Patrick from Belgium) http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xs63... – quite a large bio of that really fine American bandleader from the Roaring Twenties, who during his career recorded only several sides. I believe, Patrick won’t mind if I quote the biogram of Ken Sisson from his channel in DM: “Kenn Sisson (1897 - 1947) was a pianist with the Ben Bernie Orchestra in the early 1920s and also was a composer and musical arranger for the Bernie Orchestra. He was the composer of "Bell Hoppin' Blues" recorded by Paul Whiteman Orchestra (1926). Between 1927 and 1928 he formed his own orchestra, recording for Brunswick and Duophone record companies often using vocalists Vaughn De Leath, Irving Kaufman and Franklyn Baur. He became musical arranger for the "Deep River" radio shows in the early 1930s”.
