Set on a fictional island known as Yara (based loosely on modern-day Cuba) it is ruled by "El Presidente" Antón Castillo (portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito) who is raising his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez) to become the leader of the country. The player is Dani Rojas (voiced by either Nisa Gunduz or Sean Rey), A guerilla fighter seeking to liberate Yara from Castillo's Rule.
