BEAUMONT - By Megan Dillard - Investigators say it was like a drive-through fast food restaurant. People coming and going, walking up to the windows, handing over money, and receiving marijuana, pain pills, or other types of drugs.Deputies tell KFDM News it was phone calls from neighbors that launched the investigation in and around the home in the 4000 block of Agnes in North Beaumont. In less than a week, deputies say they got enough evidence to prompt a judge to sign a search warrant. At about 7 this morning, the Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force and the Sheriff's Office S.W.A.T. team used a truck to pull burglar bars off the back door to get inside the home. They arrested two people but 'not' the homeowner. It's quiet now around the house off Magnolia in north Beaumont.Deputies say that wasn't the case during their surveillance that lasted several days. They watched people walk up to the windows of the home, reach between the bars and exchange money and drugs.Investigators say the amount of drugs is staggering. They filled a table set up at the Sheriff's Office. All sorts of drugs: synthetic marijuana known as K2 spice -- 500 packets -- packaged for retail sale. Two pounds of bulk K2 in freezer bags.Five and half pounds of marijuana grown indoors
