Dr Axel Montagne, a Group Leader at the UK DRI at Edinburgh and the BHF - UK Dementia Research Institute Centre for Vascular Research, is investigating the role of specialised cells called endothelial cells and pericytes, and how they are affected in Alzheimer's and cerebral small vessel disease.
