Web extra: Dr. Claudia Hoyen says omicron BA.2 'won't be the last variant we see'

The World Health Organization is keeping an eye on a new sub-variant of omicron dubbed BA.2. Currently, there are no reports of the strain in Ohio, according to University UH's Dr. Claudia Hoyen. "It may be more contagious than omicron BA.1, but I think it's very early at how worried we need to be about this," she told 3News' Laura Caso. Right now, it's not clear if you can contract both omicron BA.1 and BA.2. "I don't think it's going to be the last variant we see," Hoyen added.
