Dear God, I'm tired of trying...an honest prayer | Daily Prayer for Career and Work

Feeling stuck in your career? If you feel like you're walking in circles and waiting on God's plan, this prayer is for you. The Prayer: Dear God My life, it doesn’t always make sense to me to be quite honest. I’m either content or battling with understanding what contentment really is or what that looks like. It’s hard for me to finally take time to focus on purpose when stability seems like the common theme. A job. That’s what I’m chasing, what I’m after. Or not ? I’m after a career, practice. Craft, artistry. Sometimes I feel like I’m seated on a goldmine of talents and resources that I’m not utilising properly. Or maybe I’m doing just that…trying. I’ve been trying, daily. And it’s exhausting me because it feels like my job now, working is attempting, failing, anticipating, rejection. Putting stuff out and wondering what’s the status on outcome but in the wishing there’s no…income. I wonder what my drive was back then, I need it now more than ever. Only thing is I’m not trying to grow something for someone else anymore but my own and the tension, the build up on its success or downfall is excruciating because it looks like…nothing. It doesn’t look like…a job. So Lord, with all the honesty in me, this prayer may seem faithless and distant but it’s truthful, honest, raw. Shattering because it’s my reality and I can’t seem to get out, so I pray that you can let me in ? Let me in on your plan for my life. Let me in on where you’re taking me, what do you need for me to do in a day to succeed in…something. Because right now something looks like nothing but turning around in circles. But just as you say, for we walk by faith and not by sight…I ask for that faith Lord. Because I’m not seeing what you’re seeing, so all I have is…believing. Faith, all I need is faith, in what? I don’t know. but I pray that brings the answer to what I’m even meant to do. In Jesus Mighty Name I Pray.
