Hadley's Orient Hotel - The Trail of Terrific Tales

The Trail of Terrific Tales is an immersive audio project that brings to life some of the curious characters and fascinating events from Hadley’s past. Each Tale is situated in the hotel at the site where the event happened. Hear where Tasmania’s first roller skating rink opened in 1867, where Roald Amundsen stayed after his South Pole victory, AND how Tasmania’s first ice creams were made in 1850, among many more terrific tales. The Tales were carefully researched by Hadley’s Art and Culture Curator Dr Amy Jackett and historian David Young. The soundscapes were designed by Tasmania artists Emily Sheppard and Yyan Ng and narrated by actor Ben Winspear with audio engineering by Al Future.
