Crossties Service: Easter Sunday "The Bridge" 9 April 2023 FMC Hartselle

The Bridge 1 Corinthians 15:12-22 What we celebrate at Easter is unique. Something happened at a point in time in history that changes history forever. Other religions have a code of conduct, a path of progress. Christians have a living Savior. Let’s look at the Resurrection of Jesus Christ this morning. 1. The Resurrection is I______________ (John 11:25) “I am the resurrection and the life.” (Revelation 1:18) “I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever.” 2. The Resurrection is I______________ (1 Corinthians 15:3) “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:4) “that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to Scriptures…” (1 Corinthians 15:22) “For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.” 3. The Resurrection is I_____________ (Hebrews 9:27) “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11) “He has set eternity in the human heart.” (Acts 17:31) “For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.” Conclusion: Without the risen Lord, we face three tragedies: • Tragedy in life because we miss life’s P_________ • Tragedy in death because we miss P_______ • Tragedy in the judgment because we miss P________ ANNOUNCEMENTS for the week beginning April 9th – Easter WEDNESDAY NIGHT ALIVE DINNER April 12, 2023, · 5:30 p.m.—Dinner • 6:30 p.m.—Classes Menu: Grilled Hamburgers, Pasta Salad, Baked Beans, Dessert Kid’s Menu: Hamburger, Tots, Dessert Cost: Adults: $7.00, Children: $4.00 (12 and under) No more than $25.00 per household.
