Blast In Jammu And Kashmir's Pulwama School, 15 Children Injured

At least 15 students were injured after a blast hit a school in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama today. News Nation has learnt that students of class 10 were injured in a blast inside a private school in Narbal area of Kakpora in Pulwama district. Blast occurred inside the private school Falahi-i-Milat at Narbal, Kakpora. The local police has reached the spot. It is still not clear whether it was an IED blast or not. The injured students have been shifted to PHC Kakpora for treatment. Generally, at this time of the year, almost all school in the state remain closed for winter vacations. Hence, it is not known whether the school was open or some special classes were being held for these students. In the restive state, the schools have remained relatively unaffected, with terrorists almost never targeting the educational institutes. However, in 2016, the trend changed when as many as 20 schools were set ablaze in span of two months. In 2016, a Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya school in Aishmuqam and a government school in Anantnag were set on fire within 24 hours.
