Why Are Old Halo Games So Creepy? - Halo Retrospective

Happy Halloween! Old video games have a creepy and sometimes terrifying aura to them. Sometimes I'm left wondering why these older games spooked us as kids, and why normal empty spaces were unnerving and scary. While Halo 2 and Halo 3 loosely reflect this eerie atmosphere, Halo Combat Evolved is completely engulfed within it.
