युसूफ पठान, ने क्रिकेट को अलविदा कह दिया है. लम्बे समय से टीम इंडिया से बाहर चल रहे युसूफ पठान ने इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट से संन्यास ले लिया है. अब वो मैदान पर खेलते हुए नहीं दिखेंगे. साथ ही वो फिलहाल किसी आईपीएल टीम में भी नहीं हैं. यूसुफ को पिछले साल इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग की नीलामी में भी किसी टीम ने नहीं खरीदा था. युसूफ पठान ने सोशल मीडिया पर एक संदेश जारी करते हुए इस बात की घोषणा की. उन्होंने लिखा कि "अपने परिवार के लोग, साथियों, फैंस, टीम, कोच और सभी देशवासियों को शुक्रिया कहना चाहते हैं. अब तो जो समर्थन इन सभी ने दिया उसके लिए वह धन्यवाद करना चाहेंगे." आपको बता दें, युसूफ पठान को घरेलू टीम में भी जगह नहीं मिल रही थी. पर उम्मीद थी कि कम से कम उन्हें आईपीएल में जगह मिलेगी.
