[Quran Recitation] 61. Surah As-Saff - Shaikh Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy (Mesjid Córdoba, Spain)

Al-Afasy is his full name Shaikh Mishary Rashid Ghareeb Mohammed Rashid Al-Afasy is a Kuwaiti monarch, hafiz and priest of Kuwait. Al-Afasy is well known for reciting the Quran and the nasyid it helps. One of his most popular nasyid is Qolbi Ashghiir (My Small Heart). Al-Afasy often appeared in Quranic readings on television in the Middle East of America and Europe. Surah As-Saff (Arabic: الصّفّ, "Line") is the 61st chapter of the Qur'an. This chapter is a Madaniyah chapter and consists of 14 verses. Named Ash Shaff, because in verse 4 of this letter there is a Shaffan word meaning one line. This verse explains what Allah is pleased with after describing what He is pleased with. In verse 3 it is explained that God is angry with people who are only good at speaking but not doing what they say. And in verse 4 it is explained that God loves those who practice what he says, those who fight in the way of God in one line. Mezquita or Córdoba Mosque is a cathedral in Spain that used to be a mosque. At the time of Islamic rule in Spain Córdoba was the capital of Spain under the Umayyad dynasty. After the Reconquista or the Spanish Conquest of Christianity, the building was transformed into a church with a Gothic cathedral inserted into the center of this Moor architectural building. The whole building is now used as the Cathedral of the Cathedral of Córdoba in Spain. Al-Afasy banyak dikenal karena resital Al-Quran dan nasyid yang dilantunkannya. Salah satu nasyidnya yang sangat populer yang berjudul Qolbi Ashghiir (My Small Heart). Al-Afasy sering muncul dalam acara pembacaan Al-Quran di televisi-televisi di kawasan Timur Tengah Amerika dan Eropa. Surah As-Saff (bahasa Arab:الصّفّ, "Barisan") adalah surah ke-61 dalam al-Qur'an. Surah ini tergolong surah Madaniyah dan terdiri atas 14 ayat. Dinamakan Ash Shaff, karena pada ayat 4 surat ini terdapat kata Shaffan yang berarti satu barisan. Ayat ini menerangkan apa yang diridhai Allah sesudah menerangkan apa yang dimurkai-Nya. Pada ayat 3 diterangkan bahwa Allah murka kepada orang yang hanya pandai berkata saja tetapi tidak melaksanakan apa yang diucapkannya. Dan pada ayat 4 diterangkan bahwa Allah menyukai orang yang mempraktikkan apa yang diucapkannya yaitu orang-orang yang berperang pada jalan Allah dalam satu barisan. Mezquita atau Masjid Córdoba ialah sebuah katedral di Spanyol yang dahulu merupakan sebuah masjid. Pada masa kekuasaan Islam di Spanyol Córdoba adalah ibu kota Spanyol di bawah pemerintahan dinasti Umayyah. Setelah Reconquista atau Penaklukkan Kembali Spanyol oleh kaum Kristen, gedung ini diubah fungsi menjadi sebuah gereja dengan katedral gotik yang dimasukkan ke tengah gedung berarsitektur Moor ini. Sekarang keseluruhan gedung dipakai sebagai gedung katedral diosese Córdoba di Spanyol.
