2022 IMPACT Award - Poway Unified School District

THROUGH THE LENS OF EQUITY: JUMP STARTING PATHWAYS TO REWARDING CAREERS Since 2016, the focused efforts of the Poway Unified CTE Program have accelerated students’ post-secondary transitions to college and rewarding careers. Using data and strategies for sustainability, we’ve strengthened and improved outreach and inclusion of underrepresented students TK-12, created new career and college pathways in priority industry sectors, implemented innovative scheduling formats, adopted interdisciplinary curriculum, and expanded the provision of early college credit. The IMPACT award is a best-of-show award given to the one program that best embodies all three CFF goals - to inspire, innovate, and achieve.
