Sustainable Transport in the Eurasian Region: Mobility, Multimodality and Digitalization

" Transport is vital to every country as it ensures communication, trade, economy growth and employment. A well-functioning transport sector is a prerequisite for economic and social development of all Eurasian countries and for the support of regional and global cooperation and integration. The development of integration in transport sector is viewed as a mechanism to ensure sustainable development. With this in mind, it is important to implement digital technologies, to develop infrastructure, international transport corridors, container and multimodal transportation, to ensure cost-saving, efficient, safe and secured transport means, to increase energy efficiency and to reduce environment pollution and transport congestion. In the panel session, the representatives of government bodies, international organizations, development institutes, academic and expert communities will discuss the above matters as well as the topical areas of transport development.
