Ibn Ishaq admits the Satanic Verses story is false: Abu Hayyan al-Andulasi (d. 745 A.H.) mentions; “About this story Imam Muhammad bin Ishaq, the compiler of sirah, was asked, he said: ‘This is from the fabrication of the heretics.’ And he wrote a book on the issue.” (al-Bahr al-Muhit fil Tafsir, Dar al-Fekr, Beirut, 1420 A.H. vol.7 p.526) The Quran Preserved during the Prophet Muhammads time: Sahih Bukhari, Book 52, Hadith 233 Mustadrak al-Hakim, Hadith 6051, Dar al-Kotob al-Ilmiyya, Beirut, 1990 Al-Hakim classified it as Sahih. Al-Dhahabi agreed with him. The Quran was preserved during the Prophets time according to non Muslims: "In 1972 A Treasure trove of ancient manuscripts of the Quran was discovered in Sana (Yemen?)..
