The river is considered holy, and the city is renowned as a centre for studying yoga and meditation. ✅ Lakshman Jhula : Lakshman Jhula is a suspension bridge across the river Ganges, located 5 kilometres north-east of the city of Rishikesh in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The bridge connects the two villages of Tapovan in Tehri Garhwal district, on the west bank of the river, to Jonk in Pauri Garhwal district. It is said that the Hindu deity Lakshmana crossed the Ganges on jute ropes where the bridge is built. ✅ Ram Jhula: Ram Jhula is an iron suspension bridge across the river Ganges, located 3 kilometres north-east from the town Rishikesh in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. ✅ Triveni Ghat: Triveni Ghat is a ghat situated in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. It is the biggest and most famous ghat in Rishikesh at the banks of Ganges. Triveni Ghat remains overcrowded with devotee to take ritual baths to get cleansed from their sins. ✅ Ganga Aarti: Every evening, as dusk descends, the Ganga Aarti is performed at the three holy cities of Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Varanasi in India. It's a very powerful and uplifting spiritual ritual. An aarti is a devotional ritual that uses fire as an offering. It's usually made in the form of a lit lamp, and in the case of the Ganges River, a small diya with a candle and flowers that are floated down the river.
