Chamelaucium uncinatum (Waxflower, chamelaucium, , hamelaucium) is a genus of shrubs endemic to south western Western Australia. They belong to the myrtle family Myrtaceae and have flowers similar to those of the tea-trees (Leptospermum). The most well-known species is the Geraldton Wax, Chamelaucium uncinatum. Waxflowers are often associated with riches and enduring wealth. The long lasting blooms make them a symbol for lasting success. The waxflower may also be used as a sign of lasting love or patience.
