PA - HART Swept Away Exercise

Follow a Pennsylvania HART rescue technician (RT) as they hoist from a UH-60 Black Hawk to victim in Lake Williams during the Swept Away training exercise. A rescue quick strop is used to secure the victim. In-water safety monitors and validates the proper connection of the strop and additional backup safety connected to the victim’s harness. The RT communicates via radio and hand signals that they are ready for the hoist. Once at the door, the crew chief booms and pulls both into the Black Hawk and the RT closes the door.
