Scotland’s Snow Gates CLOSED | Surviving a Sub-Zero Cairngorms Snow Storm

A Scottish snow storm hits the Cairngorm Mountains as temperatures drop below freezing, and we head straight into the Highlands to wait for the weather to arrive. What starts as a calm winter trip quickly turns into closed snow gates, white-out conditions, and a night-time detour on roads that had only just been cleared. We take the van up to the Cairngorm Mountain ski area, watch the storm roll in, and experience some of the heaviest snowfall of the season. After resupplying in Aviemore, we try to continue the journey east, only to find every major route shut down.
