The answer is achievable it is looking within and finding the will and power within you by creating an environment of Self Care within your home. You can establish well -being after a very traumatizing and physically demanding experience of motherhood; giving birth. Well Being is a state where you are consciously in touch with what you need. Checking in to your physical needs allows you to care about your physical being and do something about it. Lisa Abramson speaks “Let’s talk about PostPartum Depression” found on Youtube TEDX Talks Tedx Santa Catalina School. She speaks about her PostPartum Psychosis experience after birthing her child. “In order to overcome postpartum I had to prioritize sleep, meditate, learn to let go to the idea of trying to do everything.” I would love to add to her wonderful advice. Constantly checking in to your physical well-being. Take a Break: Mindfulness – Be kind to yourself during this time because it takes a year to fully heal from birth. Accept the transition of new body and new responsibility to your child. In accepting your mother role there is also accepting your self care. Eating enough calories is important to recover and heal from birth. Eating includes being mindful of what is consumed in order to help recover. Eating foods that will allow a speeder recovery such as whole foods, fruits, vegetables. Avoid eating empty carbs, excessive sweets, fried foods that have plenty of calories but not enough nutritional value. Be mindful about taking breaks, rest often.
