Schools Could Be Forced To Tell Parents If Their Child Identifies As Another Gender

Education Secretary Gillian Keegan says the Government is "committed" to issuing guidance over whether schools should be forced to tell parents if their child is identifying as another gender, within the school environment. On Strike action she said any action during exam periods is "really not helpful" for students who have "been through enough with a pandemic." And responding to news that some schools are giving young women red cards, if they're on their period, to be able to access toilets during lessons, she said "I wouldn't have wanted to make that public myself when I was in school aged 13."
