Unique trails in Prescott Arizona

Today's adventure is two - day hikes starting at the Groom Creek loop Trail located in Prescott Arizona on the Bradshaw mountains. This hike was only a small part of the trail. Groom Creek Loop Trail #307 is one of the most attractive trails in the Prescott National Forest, offering a rewarding hike through the area’s forested high country. We explore ancient granite boulder field, that is located just north of the trailhead. The second day hike located close by is the Goldwater Lake trail. Goldwater lake is a 15-acre lake with fishing docks and a boat launch ramp. This lake is outstanding for canoeing/kayaking. It is a beautiful, well-kept park. The trail around the lake is fairly easy to hike. It lies within the Granite Creek watershed. It is a forested trail shaded by dense ponderosa pines.
