Tuesday, June 9, 2020. Jerry Weiser was born Henrich Juraj in 1941 in Bratislava, Slovakia. Soon after his birth, his mother found herself in the Bratislava Ghetto and knew that she would soon be deported. When he was six or seven months old, she had him smuggled out of the Ghetto and placed with the priest of the nearby church. He was then passed on to a farmer's family who resided in the hills outside Bratislava. He spent the war years in hiding with the farmer's family. When the war ended in 1945, friends of his mother’s came for him and became his foster parents.
