10AM Wednesday Tropical Update: Tracking three areas in Atlantic, Gulf

In Wednesday's tropical weather update, we continue to watch the messy disturbance in the western Gulf. The system has been hanging over the warm Gulf waters since this weekend, but has yet to organize. We continue to watch the messy disturbance in the western Gulf. The system has been hanging over the warm Gulf waters since this weekend, but has yet to become organized enough to be called a depression. It does have some southwest shear Wednesday, which should keep organization slow. The system, whether it's a depression or something less, will move towards Texas bringing rain and move inland around Thursday and Friday. The disturbance currently called Potential Tropical Cyclone Two has yet to form a close circulation. It is moving so fast it's having a hard time wrapping winds all the way around it's circulation. Once it does so it'll likely get named Bonnie. It will head almost due west eventually into Central America around Nicaragua this weekend. It could become the first hurricane of the season in the southern Caribbean before it reaches Central America. It is not a threat to the US. There is another tropical wave farther out in the Atlantic. It has a low-end chance to develop by the end of this week. It could travel a bit farther north and reach the Lesser Antilles by this weekend. We will track it, but it is not a threat to the Gulf Coast at this time.
