I had a good time fishing with Cowboy down in Dulac, Louisiana. The conditions weren't favorable at all, cold, high winds, murky water, extremely low tides and no tidal movement but that didn’t stop us from doing our thang, Ya Heard Me!. The action started off slow but soon picked up after the sun began to shine. The redfish seemed to be holding in the deeper canals rather than the marsh. I started out using artificial plastic baits of different colors and gold spoons with no luck. These redfish only wanted fresh shrimp. But as the sun came out, I started catching fish on black/chartreuse and opening night/chartreuse cockahoe minnows on 1/4oz jig head. Cowboy caught all of his fish on fresh shrimp under a cork. We ended the day with (10) keepers, (1) bull (released), and plenty of throw back rat reds.
