[BAD LANGUAGE] Get Over It Part 12 // 72 hr MAP // Mewgioh

For this MAP (PARTS STILL OPEN AND SO CLOSE TO BEING DONE)    • [CLOSED] _Get Over It_ 72 Hour Anything An...   Alright so I FINALLY got to the Egypt Rewind part of my Yu-Gi-Oh duel monsters rewatch where Bakura and Atem go back in time and replay the events of the past and like tbh, IT IS BONKERS!!!! Easily the best arc Yugioh had in Duel Monsters. One of the things I found so impactful was TK Bakura absolutely blowing the head off of Slifer. He whole-ass beheads god like kfdvnksdfnvdnvksdfnkvf!!!! So this part alludes to that standoff. Bakura being snarky king, Slifer getting sliced, and ofc the loss of Slifer taken from Atem's life force. That being said, I can't say I really like this part?? Which for me is super uncommon. I love all the work I produce when I see it in post but this part totally kicked my ass. I particularly dislike the first part with Bakura and the last image of Atem. They feel ugly and overworked. I always considered Bakura a hairless cat (minus his head hair ofc) and when I went to work to illustrate that, I really struggled. The Bakura you see is a product of over a dozen different attempts. He's been reworked over and over and over again and I feel like bc I disliked how he came out, I over compensated in the editing, which looks both awkward and over tweened. Idk. I didn't want to hold the part up more than I had (I took double the time fjdvbsdjvbsdf) and there's a point with quick paced MAPs where you just gotta let go. So that's what I did. Not to fully rag on myself, bc I am really proud not only of how Slifer came out, but also how I edited the lyrics themselves. I usually keep my text stationary but tweening it left more of an impact I think! Anyway, this map is COOL AS HELL!!!!!! It was so cool experimenting with the full black "shading". I used mind to blend my chars into the background a bit more and give harsher shaped. It was a neat process!!! ANYWHO, RANT ASIDE!!!!! GOTTA THANK ETHEREAL FOR BEING SUCH A PATIENT POST!!!!
