The term "Easter" has, and certain celebration practices, have undeniably pagan roots, which have become associated and interwoven with one of the holiest days for Christians, the day we are to celebrate the cornerstone of our faith, the day our Lord rose from the grave – Resurrection Sunday. This victorious truth that Jesus is risen, has been commercialized with pagan mythological elements of easter bunnies, easter eggs, and baskets, in association with the resurrection of Christ. The very foundational truth, the cornerstone of Christian faith—is being celebrated in a context that has become interlaced with practices that have undeniable pagan roots.
