Tropical reefs has a unique biodiversity. It is one of the most complex ecosystems on the planet and are home to more than 3,000 different species of fish, 600 species of corals and thousands of other plants and animals. The rich coral reefs provide food for millions of animals and people. Despite this enormous abundance, there are dangers to the reefs. Climate change directly affects the reefs with coral bleaching and acidification of the sea - that together with many local factors like pollution, overfishing and increased tourism push the reefs beyond the border. Scientists say that up to 90% of the world's coral reefs may already have disappeared in 2050. We have produced this one hour program for Danish TV. But Danish is a very limited langue area, and we think the program has to come out for a larger audience, so here there is an English version. In order to fit the program to web, we have sliced the program up in 11 thematic parts. Enjoy
