Japan earthquake Death toll rises after second Japan quake Rescuers are in a "race against time" to find survivors of a powerful earthquake, Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has warned. At least 32 people have been killed and hundreds injured, with thousands forced to seek refuge outdoors and dozens still feared trapped beneath rubble. The 7.3 magnitude earthquake stuck the city of Kumamoto, bringing buildings down, causing fires and sending thousands of people out onto the streets. Robin Brant reports.
